Hello, my name is Lucy, and my mom and dad got me from a rescue in 1999. I was a combination
wedding/Christmas present for my mommy. I came into rescue because I got lost, but someone found
me and took care of me, and helped me get a new home. I went to live with a few other families
before I found my mommy and daddy, but I had a really nice foster mommy who took care of me until
the right family came along.

I was about a year old when my mommy and daddy got me, so they don't have any real "puppy"
pictures. However, the nice rescue lady gave my mom and dad some pictures of me that she took.
Here is the first picture they ever saw of me, and it is the picture that made mom want to bring
me home. Aren't I pretty?
|
Something that you can't tell in the top picture was that I was still going through my goofy
teenage phase, and here (much to my dismay) is a picture of me looking less than regal…
|
It snowed the day they brought me home, and while my sister and I played in the backyard,
I had to keep grazing on the new snow - little did mom and dad know that that would be just the
tip of the iceberg. While I may be a pretty dog, I can be a little bit of a tomboy. I wolf down
my food, gulp down my water (so that I usually end up wearing quite a bit of it), I burp, I toot,
I snort, I snore, and I can't stand to be clean. And I am not exactly the most dignified girl in
the world, as you can see here…
|
However, there are times when mom and dad say that I can be a bit of a drama queen - especially
when I know that I have an audience. Don't tell anyone, but I do know how to use my face to get
what I want. I mean take a look at me, if I got it, I might as well use it, right?
|
For example, sometimes I am convinced that I don't have enough toys, so then I give my mom and
dad this look…
|
Or, when they were painting the house and my sister and I got banished to the upstairs,
I gave them this look…
|
And can you believe that they won't let me on the furniture? I guess they don't know that I
sneak up there when they aren't looking. They do let us play on the ottoman, however, and when I
really want to get comfortable on the couch, and they won't let me, I give them this look…
|
In addition to acting, I do have other hobbies, some more endearing to my parents than others.
For example, I love to graze - freshly cut grass and newly fallen snow are my favorites. My
parents are usually too busy shooing me away from the grass to get any pictures, but here is a
picture of me enjoying a snowstorm.
|
I also enjoy playing tug with my sister…
(I'm the cute on on the right)
|
And I love playing with my dinosaur. I will admit that my dinosaur has seen better days
(it actually did come with a tail), but it was a toy that my foster mom gave me, so my mommy
won't send it to woobie heaven. Instead, she just keeps stitching it back together, best she can,
so that I can keep enjoying it. Sometimes I see my sister eyeing it, so I have to protect it.

Being this adorable doesn't come easy, so here I am, enjoying a well-deserved nap with my piggy.
